MANDATORY EQUIPMENT

For players starting in our houseleague programs with a desire to continue to rep, please consider purchasing blue helmet and gloves.

Full equipment must be worn by all players for all practices and games, for safety and OWHA Policy.

CSA-Approved helmet with full cage (not lacrosse-style)

All colours accepted; however, Navy Blue is the required colour for competitive

Player style helmet permitted with added throat guard or CSA-approved helmet with full cage and chin strap attached

Lady Gens Apparel

Apparel is not mandatory, but may be purchased during league fitting events, or from the Lady Gens online store (information for the new online store upcoming!)

MOUTH GUARDS

The wearing of mouth guards at practices and games is very strongly encouraged. Mouth guards not only protect the teeth, but are effective at preventing concussions in youth hockey players, as  shown in recent research. In the interest of player safety, OGHA strongly suggests players fit a comfortable mouth guard that they can get used to wearing on a regular basis.
