The Oshawa Lady Generals U9A team had an incredible showing at the Orangeville Sweetheart Tournament, held from January 23 to January 25, skating their way to a silver medal after an outstanding weekend of hockey.
The girls went a perfect 3–0 through round-robin play, winning all three of their games and earning a spot in the championship final. In the finals, the Lady Gens faced a tough opponent in a hard-fought battle that truly tested their resilience and teamwork.
Despite enduring a number of penalties throughout the game, the U9A team showed remarkable composure and determination. Their defensive effort was outstanding: no goals were scored against them while short-handed, a true testament to their teamwork, discipline, and commitment to supporting one another on the ice. The final score was a narrow 1–0, making for an exciting and closely contested finish.
Congratulations to the U9A players and coaches on a fantastic tournament performance. Your effort, teamwork, and never-give-up attitude made the entire Lady Gens community proud!
