Team uniform and apparel are mandatory for all members of a competitive team, and the standard for each division is noted in the specifics below. A team may decide to add on, but not remove, from this.

Mandatory Equipment for Competitive Players
Full equipment must be worn by all players for all practices and games. This is for safety and insurance reasons. Equipment includes:

Equipment must be in good working condition and approved for ice hockey use. Road or ball hockey equipment is not permitted.
Mouth Guards
The wearing of mouth guards at practices and games is very strongly encouraged. Mouth guards not only protect the teeth, but are effective at preventing concussions in youth hockey players, as shown in recent research. In the interest of player safety, OGHA strongly suggests players fit a comfortable mouth guard that they can get used to wearing on a regular basis.
